LONDON SQUARE MILE - LSM
Fashioned out of Modernity
London’s
Square Mile ( in short, LSM), which defined the ancient city walls, is now the
heart of the powerful financial district. Seductive passages become corporate
cul-de-sacs of soaring glass, steel and stone. For inspiration, we looked to
many famous buildings like 30 St Mary Axe (more famous as ‘The Gherkin’),
Leadenhall Building (informally known as ‘The Cheesegrater’),
20 Fenchurch Street (nicknamed 'The Walkie-Talkie'),
Heron Tower, Broadgate Tower, Lloyds building, Willis Building, 99 Bishopsgate,
St Helen's, Plantation Place and the likes.
Each and every one of the mega-structures had their own story to tell us. Starting from 30 St Mary Axe- ‘the most civilised skyscraper in the world’ to Lloyds building- ‘universally recognised as one of the key buildings of the modern epoch’, the bold and stellar features of these icons were brought in and fitted together like a wonderful piece of art in itself by our talented designed, Ms Chrissie Butcher.
